Cigar types available

Cigars vary by size, construction style, and the origin of their leaf. Straight-shaped classics like Corona, Robusto, Toro, and Churchill differ in length and ring gauge, which affects how long they burn and how intense the flavour feels. Shaped formats (Figurados) narrow toward one end, helping the aroma build gradually.

The country of origin sets the overall character: Cuban pieces tend to be deep and earthy, Dominican options are known for gentle, creamy profiles, Nicaraguan ones lean toward spice and power, while Honduran cigars deliver a more woody edge. Long-filler items offer a slower, more refined burn thanks to whole leaves inside; mixed- or short-filler versions burn quicker and feel lighter. Hand-rolled cigars rely on craftsmanship and attention to detail, while machine-rolled options stay budget-friendly and good for casual smoking.

What to know before you buy

Cigar smoke is tasted, not inhaled - you pull it into your mouth, enjoy the flavour, and release it. Inhaling like a cigarette makes the experience harsh.

Before lighting, trim just the very end of the closed cap using a cutter or punch to open the draw. For lighting, use a torch lighter or long match, keeping the foot above the flame and rotating until it glows evenly. Take relaxed, periodic puffs as the cigar warms - rushing overheats it, while long pauses make it go out.

Let a small ash column form naturally and tap it off gently when needed. Once you're done, simply leave the cigar in an ashtray; it will fade out on its own.

         FAQ

  •             Can I buy cigars online legally?

Yes. If you’re 18+, you can order online and pick up your purchase at Pair Cigar Lounge Boutique, Dubai, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, G Floor.

  • What types are best for beginners?

Choose mild to medium items in approachable sizes like Robusto or Corona. Smooth, balanced options from brands such as Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, or Quorum work well for first-timers.

  • How are they stored and shipped?

All items remain in calibrated humidors set around 65–72% humidity and 18-20C. Due to UAE rules, shipping isn’t available - orders are collected in-store.

  • What accessories do I need?

A sharp cutter, a reliable torch lighter, and a humidor to maintain proper conditions.

  • How do I choose the right strength?

Mild works best if you’re starting out; medium blends offer a balanced profile, and fuller cigars provide intensity. Our staff can guide your selection.

  • What is the difference between handmade and machine-made cigars?

Hand-rolled cigars are assembled from full leaves for a smoother, more layered burn. Machine-rolled ones use chopped filler, making them more affordable and convenient.

  • How should I store them at home?

Use a humidor kept between 65–72% humidity and 18–20C, avoiding direct sunlight or sudden temperature shifts.

  • Do you sell gift sets or samplers?

Yes - Pair offers premium samplers, curated sets, and gift cards from 1,000 to 50,000 AED for any level of cigar enthusiast.
